| Welcome to the Resident Evil Movies Community, a community dedicated to the Resident Evil movie movieverse, created March 12th, 2002. The 1st film was directed by Paul Anderson and starred Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, and Eric Mabius. The sequel, Resident Evil Apocalypse was released in 2004 and directed by Alexander Witt, starring Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, and Oded Fehr. Resident Evil Extinction was released September 21, 2007. It was directed by Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) and starred Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, Ali Larter, Spencer Locke and Mike Epps. Resident Evil: Afterlife is a 2010 science fiction action horror film. It is the fourth installment in the series of film adaptations based on the Capcom survival horror series Resident Evil. The film will be directed and produced by Paul Anderson; It will be the first film in the series to be released in 3-D. Afterlife was originally planned to be released in the United States on August 27, 2010, but was set to be released January 14, 2011. In January 2010 it was announced that the release date was moved again, this time to September 10, 2010. After the box office success of Afterlife, Jovovich announced that Resident Evil 5 was "definitely happening" and the announcement was later confirmed by Sony Pictures in March 2012. Resident Evil: Retribution was released September 14th, 2012, Sienna Guillory, Michelle Rodriguez, Oded Fehr and Colin Salmon reprise their roles as Jill Valentine, Rain Ocampo, Carlos Olivera and "One" as well. Resident Evil: Degeneration was a direct to DVD release, featuring the voices of Alyson Court as Claire Redfield, Paul Mercier as Leon S. Kennedy and Laura Bailey as Angela Miller. The film was directed by Makoto Kamiya and released October 12th, 2008 in Japan @ The Tokyo Game Show, and later on December 27, 2008 in the USA and January 12th, 2009 in the UK. Recently it was announced by Capcom and Sony Pictures that Degeneration would be getting a sequel called Resident Evil: Damnation. Damnation has been announced for a Blu-ray Disc and DVD in North America on September 25, 2012. |
